This total, lunar eclipse is a strange merging of the moon with Uranus the planet of chaos. The moon or lunar aspect is a feminine energy that governs our moods. This eclipse is full of itself and that puts us on edge. We are over the top in the drama department. The best way to handle this much stuff coming at you all at once, is to do less and no more than you absolutely have to do. Scale back and step down. The simplest answer is usually correct so don’t over burden yourself. With Mercury retrograde doing less now – will save you loads of trouble and confusion later when the winds-of-change shift again. When that happens, what once seemed important, probably won’t matter. So just bide your time, wisely.

Power of Purpose

To make the most of both eclipses and soothe the savage beasts that might arise out of them use your personal, power of purpose. How do you do that? Personal, power of purpose can be used to stop and listen to yourself -listen so you can hear what you are saying. Often we want everyone to hear us, hear what we have to say, don’t interrupt us while we are talking or cut us off, we want everyone to do what we say. But do we even listen to ourselves. We are generally hyper-critical and negative based in most of our discussions which are really just commands. We are quick to point out other peoples flaws and faults, while ignoring our own counter-productive conversation. The eclipses erase time and empty space so that we can have some room to explore, grow and know.

 

Daily dog

Venus our lady of love of luxury is in the Dog sign, exalted, next to the Solar image for this months celestial transits. This bright spot is an chance to bond and build relationships that last. Even though the odds may seem against it the node has the key and is standing nearby. That means that true love can find you, true love can be rekindled. Love can be discovered it for the 1st time or re-discovered for the last time. But whatever is the instance this is the kind of love luck that you can go against the grid and put a ring on it. On the descending side the eclipse looks like a Hare raising experience. Planet Neptune holds the Part of Fortune (lucky spot) with Chiron rising above it. Just above the lunar aspect is in the Dragon as it passes over the elliptic pattern of Uranus. This kind of eclipse presents a trump major or a wild card to be used in any fashion if you are the one who has got it. The best configuration of this tricky business is that the part-of-fortune sits like a cherry on top. The cup shape of Neptune holds mystery and intrigue in a surprise connection but it cradles it and holds on. What pops out and how to contain it once that happens is something I won’t hazard a guess since in the eclipse zone all bets are off.

Syzygy

The possibility of the impossible becomes real and it can boggle the mind. Our blood, moon eclipse features a rare and unusual event, a “twist” of fate that some lucky souls may get to witness. What will happen? The eclipsed moon setting in the west, while the Sun is rising due east, will both reflect up in the atmosphere (called syzygy) and appear on the horizon in opposite directions of each other. This only happens because in reality they are interlocked on exact degrees while setting and rising. This creates a phenomenon not suppose to exist and yet it does happen. This is a strange and wonderful experience of the impossible. A stellar display worth getting up for, early, before dawn. Look east and west as you check out the horizon and use binoculars if you have them.

Mercury Retro | October 4-25th

Mercury the planet of messages and communication, commerce and travelers is in a regular pattern of retrograde motion from October 4th to October 23rd. This will throw a wrench in the works to be sure. When Mercury is retrograde it appears to orbit away and behind our planet, Earth. The energy we usually get from this planet arrives as bent, warped and distorted. Mercury is going from the Pig sign into the Dog sign, then back again. Be watchful and aware.

Grail Quest | Partial Solar New Moon

The new moon eclipse on October 23 at 12:43 PM is in the very late stages of the Dog sign. The dynamic energy and pull is like knight and day from the Dragon eclipse on October 8th. Where the Dragon had Uranus to lay waste and wreck havoc on its own scale and in an alternate dimension the dog sign is well grounded. Here things are being set in stone. The new moon eclipse is a world of opportunity that is protected with plenty of resources and some hefty assets. Enough to anchor you on the sunny shore of the hearts desire. Be patient as Mercury goes backward then returns forward, right after.

Into the unknown-

As we move through the month of October many planetary changes will shift the patterns of our lives. The two eclipses and a retrograde period highlight the period.
