On January 12th at 9:02 PM, PDT Earth has a New Moon and Sun conjoined in the sign of the Ox. The Ox governs status and is a sacred animal sign making this a significant point in time. What is written in this Ox New Moon, chart? Things are pulling apart.
Pulling Apart
The Sun and Moon transit the Underbelly of the chart at 23 degrees in the Ox with Pluto nearby at 24 degrees. Next door in the Tiger Saturn is at 3 degrees, Jupiter at 5 degrees and Mercury at 7 degrees. The Giant Jupiter now leaves Saturn in the cosmic dust for the next 20 years.
With a cold and distant backward glance, Venus is in the Ox at 5 degrees far behind the pack. Like ripping-off a bandage to initiate healing, this pull-apart is a messy tidal tug of our existence. The newborn Moon and Sun soon separate to make their pass over a quagmire.
Starting with Pluto the order of magnitude is relevant. It’s as a small rock in a very hard place. Crushing waves of planetary motions scatter forces as the Moon moves swiftly on her cyclic path. The Sun will illuminate a bright spot to carry us beyond a harsh winter of the Soul.
With consequences in tow the Sun enters the Tiger on January 19th quickly catching up to roll-over on Saturn impressing us with afresh look at our world. Soon after a serendipitous conjoining of Jupiter with the Full Moon, on January 28th reveals a glittering crown of jewels.
In the aggregate it may seem as though Quicksilver Mercury is getting away with murder. But as the worm turns the elliptic path pulls the trickster planet, Mercury back into the fray. Mercury goes retrograde at the end of January with a De ja vu, loopty-loo.
All Bottled Up
By the 1st week of February the Sun and Mercury with cross paths and the Solar King will take charge in new reign of power. There are few distinctive outliers in this molted group of planetary influences and they’re clumped at the bottom of the chart like a ship listing on it’s hull.
The outliers are mostly scattered, but two are quite prominent: Mars at 2 degrees and Uranus at 6 degrees in the Serpent, create a device that has ripple effects in some extraordinary and unforeseen way. The Mars Uranus combination will be an agitator lasting the entire month.
Mars is a War God of immense energy. His fiery, brimstone brakes up the status quo as Uranus slowly grinds the remnants of discordance, to be dissolved. As these two heavy hitters collide on the 19th and 20th of January the Martian culture will be tempered in a cosmic cauldron.
These events will bring calamity and chaos but the outcome will ultimately be productive and inventive to a larger design. Imagine a cave collapses, destroying the thing its seeking to find. In so doing it reveals an opportunity of greater value you didn’t expected to uncover.
Moving along on the back trails of the Ox Moon, Lord Neptune at 18 degrees is riding the rails in the Hare. She’s spinning a tapestry with hindsight in view and a nod to the future, just up ahead. Chiron in the Dragon at 5 degrees is mixing potions and notions to cure what ails us.
The chart Crown sits in the Horse at 7 degrees making fame and fortune a tempestuous beast. We want to catch her and tame her but she’s just out of our reach. The Node in the Horse holds steady at 19 degrees making incremental progress to crack the code and find the key.
The Bird lands with the Part of Fortune on the Ascendant. This duo delivers an accounting for a remedy on a battleground that divides us. By-and-large these shifts seem like bare bones but there’s a reckoning in the works that will be hatched from it’s evolution, not a revolution.
