Every 12 years we get the Dragon sign on the Zodiac wheel. This year is the Green Wood Dragon that happens once every 60 years, based on the five elements and the Heavenly Stem. The Green Wood element is Yang energy of growth and expressions.
It’s roots anchor the tree that weaves the tapestry of life. A Green Wood Dragon is extra-special and is known as the Acrobat Dragon. This year a new crop of wood dragon’s will be born! These new mini-acrobatic Dragons are part of the Ruling Triad. Leaders will rise and fall.

Baby Dragons born in 2024 will be brave and eccentric even as babes in arms. The old guard, Dragon’s born in 1964 will turn 60 this year. What’s in store for Dragon this year? Dragon days are epic and their legends are well-worn, filled with palace intrigues. Even in a small pond.
The illustrious Acrobat Dragon, the Green Wood Dragon, is a shapeshifter. Like a vine it grows and quickly expands into it’s environment. Dragon’s are vibrant and wood Dragon’s like to bramble on.
The Wood element can be combative and strong. Dragon opposes the Dog sign and dog’s can carry a special amulet this year to appease the Grand Duke. Expect the coming Dragon year to be long on twists and sharp on turns, that almost no one sees coming.
Recent Past: Tiger Super New Moon | February 9th
We had a Tiger Super New Moon on February 9th and on following day the Green Dragon Lunar New Year, began, February 10th. Cultural Celebrations for this Spring festival can go on for several weeks.
The New Moon is a Super New Moon. Because Pluto sits at zero in the Tiger all the inner rim planets will make a once-in-a-life-time pass. Mercury will cross Pluto to enter the Tiger and then Mars follows and Venus, too. It’s a celestial caravan traveling on cosmic waves.
Pluto now enters the Tiger and this is a rare event. It takes 184 years to return again. Longer than a human life span. The Super New Moon and Sun pass through this fiery hoop to spark new innovations and set new trends. Tiger’s are a visionary sign.
Green Dragon | February 10th
2024 is the Green Wood Dragon Year. The Green Acrobat Dragon is known for it’s longevity. Dragon is in the Ruling Triad with Monkey and Rat signs. The Bird is the Dragon’s super buddy and best mate.
Dragon and Snake share the Southeast direction on the compass in the Palace of Abundance and Income. The Zodiac Dragon corresponds to the constellation Aires. The wood year represents fast, growth and free expression.
The year of the Dragon expands it’s reach into our world as leaders come and go on the world stage. Yet the Green Wood Dragon puts down fresh roots. In Feng Shui Dragon’s is seen in the landscapes of hills, clouds and waterways. Dragons are mythic, magical creators.

In 2024 we begin a New Mountain cycle that will last for 20 years. This New Mountain cycle is the 9 Fire Star of Wish Fulfillment. The Ripening 9 Star bringing things to fruition.
This New Mountain period is the Purple Fire Star. It favors adornments, the rise of older women and female empowerment will be in the limelight.
Based on ancient hexagrams the Middle Sister is especially favored. In Flying Star Feng Shui the Fire Nine is the number of fruition and ripening. It’s a great time for love and to harvest our heart’s desires. The Nine is a new media star! Fame and fortune will grow into new arenas.
In this coming 20 years the 9 Star flies to the Heart Center and aligns to the North South axis. People can improve fortunes by aligning their spaces with the new patterns by adjusting their decor and doing renovations based on favorable, compass directions.
Annual Flying Stars | 2024 – 2025
The Fighting Star 3 flies to the Heart Center in 2024. This year we get a double dose of Wood energy. The extra Wood energy comes from the 3 Star flying to the Center Palace and the Yang, Wood element year, combined.
Wood energy is strong. Good wood energy creates ties that bind us on our Family Tree. But this is a year of great contrast. The Wood element puts down roots and doesn’t like to be moved. Wood can get overgrown, invasive and unruly unless it is trained and groomed.
