As August begins planets Neptune, Saturn, Pluto and planetoid Chiron are retrograde. Mercury will soon follow. This slows the cosmic swirl for a much needed time of reflection. August brings a cosmic cooling period in the star patterns which will speed up again as the month ends.

August | Moonbeams

On Sunday, August 4th at 04:14 AM Pacific time we have a New Moon and Sun in the Monkey sign. This New Moon energy will unleash fresh ideas and bright expressions early on. Monkey is a sign that represents personal talents and our relationships with others.

This New baby Moon quickly sweeps past Venus, Mercury and all the other planets on its path as it comes full circle to land on the Ascendant horizon in just one day. This baby moon delivers miraculous moments to infuse special powers to a lucky few.

With this New Moon the Sun and lunar cycle convert to a harmonious Yang-Yin-yang axis. Now when the Sun moves we get a New Moon to precede the Full Moon. The balance of power will once again shift for an an auspicious turn of events.

Flying Stars | August 2024

August 4th the Monthly Flying Stars change. The lucky Wealth Star 8 flies to the Center Palace. A quest for monetary gains can sometimes cloud and deplete the nourishment we seek where love is the central theme. But at the same time this Earth star can provide needed support.

The Ming Tang big and bright energy to boosts business and energizes action for positivity. As it ride through the center line from East to West with an added bonus on the North and Northwest side assets one can accumulate and may come in a landslide.

The Lucky Sum of Ten flies to the Northeast giving Ox and Tiger added challenges and a few set backs. It may seem harsh but this turn around actually puts Ox and Tiger on a road to success that might not be easy but the payoff is supreme.

Venus | Bird

On August 5th planet Venus, Our Lady of Love and Luxury enters the Bird sign where Venus is said to be in detriment. With Venus in the bird hen-peeking can be a bit much. As Venus glides through the Phoenix sign we get a chance to decide how we account for our lives.

Do we draw inspiration from external themes, or tap the well deep inside? Do we keep score? Or appreciate the little to receive the more? Answers to our deepest questions are a needle in a metaphorical haystack as we separate the wheat from the shaft.

Take the good and discard what doesn’t serve us. Birds are accountants, nest builders and creatives. This strange blend can working for us when we are attuned to details but it holds us back when pull things apart? Birds give us a song in our hearts to find our higher mind.

Mercury Retrograde | Bird

On August 5th Mercury the planet of commerce, courts and transportation goes retrograde. This repeating cycle begins at 4 degrees in the Bird and spins back to the Monkey sign. Luckily Mercury is exalted in the Bird as we revisit and review before Mercury goes forward again.

During this elliptic pullback we may receive things we think we don’t want. Mismatched socks and ruffled feathers can distort reality. But before we are to-quick-to judge check again. An investigation begins with the word invest. So invest time to know why something is returned.

Seeing something bounce back gives us a clue to hidden motives and self-suppression. Results tell us that whatever we are sending out – is what we are receiving. It’s the by product of our own making. Shifting attitudes can bend the light to expose a silver lining.

Mars & Jupiter | conjunct

On August 14th Mars reaches a peak conjunction with Jupiter in the Horse sign. Normally Mars would whizz right by but Jupiter’s brisk pace slows Mars’ ability to make the cross over. This creates a shrink-effect. What does this mean?

Both Mars and Jupiter are yang planets in the yang Horse sign. This affects politics, promotions, fame and reputations. It strongly suggests a weakening of the Mars energy. Anything overtly brazen will lose steam and appear diminished.

Jupiter reduces Mar’s ability to make headway. Unforeseen consequences could develop. What at first seemed opposing may only be a blip on the screen. This multi day event lasts a week as Jupiter siphons off the Mars to steal his thunder and reap the benefits.

Tiger | Super Blue Moon

On Monday August 19th at 11:23 AM PDT just before noon we have a Super BLUE Full Moon in the Tiger. As this moon reaches total illumination we are able to clearly the results of our choices. And they might surprise you. Tiger rules the brotherhood and Patriarch luck.

This Tiger Moon is brilliantly lite in a cinematic fashion. Everything will have greater emphasis to express itself boldly. Tiger’s the visionary sign of the Zodiac that sees way ahead of the rest. Mighty Tiger seizes attention as he leaps through hoops of fire to leave his imprint.

This lofty Tiger the Moon will be at 27 degrees adding a bonus of good fortune and perhaps a bountiful jackpot for the lucky few touched by this chart aspect. Dragons get a super charge as well with the Part of Fortune landing on Chiron where doors of opportunity fly open.

Sun | Bird

On Thursday August 22nd the Sun enters the Bird sign at 8:07 AM Pacific time. The transition of the lunar cycle is now complete and a new wave of wonders begin. Bird is the bean counter and keeps score of what’s-what and who’s on, or off base.

Sun in the Bird is a solar recharge for all the lucky Bird signs. Happy Birthday Birdie. Bird sits in the West where a new evolution is in full swing. Our Lady Luck Venus is also in the bird sign but she’s in detriment landing just below the Ascendant horizon.

This puts a hold on progress already unfolding as a check and balance. Something that has gotten ahead of itself is now pulled back and reigned in. Venus may not get her due and it comes as a bit of a shock. Like it or not Bird keeps a tally and draws the line in the sand.

Mercury Returns

On August 28th Mercury goes forward direct in the Monkey sign. The day before and after are called station days where everything is in suspended animation through the transition. It’s not a good time to sign on the dotted line. Avoid commitments in this timeline.

After Mercury returns he enters a Shadow period by going back over ground already covered. The Shadow period lasts until September 13th. During his Shadow Mercury reveals the flip side of the coin to expose the other side. What was missed or overlooked is revealed.

As Mercury crosses territory already covered it brings more accountability to center stage. What goes around comes around and what seemed lost or forgotten can be restored. Seek and ye shall find.

Venus | Dog

Hallelujah! On August 29th our Lady of Love and Luxury enters the Dog sign where she can once again promote peace and prosperity throughout the land. By their nature Dogs give service, its their super power.

Those less fortunate find favor. If you need help this is your lucky amulet. And if you simply want to spruce things up on a budget Venus refreshes the old to make it feel new again. Love will bloom and friendships blossom. Dogs are easy to know and love.

Go for a walk or just enjoy the feeling of camaraderie that Venus in the Dog will give to everyone. Dogs are human’s best friend. Be sure to show how much you care about Mother Earth and let kindness be contagious.

Lucky Ox in August is laying low on the slow road. On August 1st Ox wears the chart Crown but this fashion fades fast and Ox will graze away the days sent out to pasture. Enjoy this prelude. Come September retrograde Pluto moves back in kicking-up serious cosmic dust.

Lucky Tiger

Tiger | Aquarius

Lucky Tiger in August is in opposition to the Monkey until the Sun moves to the Bird sign. This is not the best time to strike out on new projects that require consensus. Tiger’s on guard and a bit defensive. So take things in stride to put your best paw forward.

At midnight July 1st Pacific time the Sun is in the Goat as a Waning Crescent Moon slides down the Snake. Our Lunar lady is exalted in the Serpent sign which bodes well. Grand Duke Jupiter rides though the Horse making great strides on a comeback trail.

July | Skies

It’s summer in the North and Winter in the south on the first day of July as Dark lady Lilith sits at Zero degrees in the Dog sign. Black Moon Lilith will over shadow Dogs lives through the end of the year. Lilith represents Karma so it can be good or bad. Bank your Goodwill.

July has a lot to offer in our fast-paced celestial times. The Sun Goat is a legendary climber always reaching new heights that defy gravity. Mercury moves to the Monkey and Neptune goes out of phase in the wild Hare. What’s it all mean? Here’s the spin on the cosmic wheel.

Mercury | Monkey Mind

July 2nd Mercury moves to the Monkey sign. Mercurial energy in the Monkey adds an extra pop and sizzle to culture. It shifts trends and moves the tides.

Mercury in the Monkey is inventive and curious so try something outside the comfort line. Creative modes to accomplish originality run high. Authenticity comes calling.

Whatever is a main theme in the late July it will be revisited when Mercury retrogrades in August. Keep that in mind whatever designs you have in your life: these patterns will repeat over time. Adjust yourself accordingly. Monkey is the independent type.

Neptune | Retrograde

On the same day, July 2nd Neptune goes retrograde in the Hare at 29 degrees. This late-stage event affects those aged out of systems for a comeback. It brings magic and wonder to the wise ones of our world. We learn some thing new when we review what we already know.

A retrograde motion in the Hare stirs the cosmic pot. Waters get rough and things get murky. Neptune is the holy grail of the Zodiac so be conscious of what you’re wishing for.

Neptune carries a trident as his spear. It’s represents the Geek letter Psi for our psyche. While Neptune spins offline illusions can cloud our view. Don’t take things for granted or at face values. Reserve judgements and hold your fire until the coast is clear.

Flying Stars | July 2024

Monthly Flying Stars change on or about July 4th. The Fire Star 9 flies to the center palace. The 9 Star is doubled with the Mountain Star creating an extreme effect. The 9 Star is said to fly in either a good or bad direction depending on which way you send it.

The Fire 9 Star is a multiplier, the Ripening Star of Wish Fulfillment. Once a wish comes to true it’s harvested and collected as cycle start over again. Its will soon be square one for a new crop of wishes, dreams and goals. The end is a beginning.

Dust off your moon boots. In the East the Lucky Sum of Ten helps the Hare sign run the gauntlet to overcome obstacles for success. The MIng Tang big and bright for business and promotions is in the Southeast, South and Southwest side of the compass.

Independence Day | 4th of July

On July 4th America celebrates it’s independence. Fireworks light up the sky! This year it falls on a New Moon cycle making the show more dramatic than usual. But also casting many shadows that appear different then they really are.

We may need to act on faith and follow our hearts when uncertainly resides. Shine the light to cast out this darkness. Happy Birthday America. May our democracy survive!

Goat | New Moon

July 5th we have a Goat New Moon and Sun on Friday at 3:39 PM, PDT. This baby Goat is a charmer, playful and entertaining. The Sun and Moon at 14 degrees shows a marker in time where youth will steal the spotlight.

The Goat is an adventurous spirit with a kind heart. These joyful jumpers capture our imagination and hold it tight. Goats ascend to great heights and are the friends who are always there.

Known as a Party animal of the Zodiac the Ram is a compassionate sign and white glove host. But not so great at telling time. Let’s forgive them. With Lady Luck Venus in the Goat we can make new friends and enjoy social events. On this New Moon cultivate your creative side!

Venus | Monkey

On July 11th Venus the planet of love and luxury enters the Money sign. This bodes well for friends and families as the Goddess of love and luxury channels much needed some spa time.

Venus in the Monkey has bravado with a lust for exploration. She’s more of a Warrior Goddess than damsel in distress. Venus reveals her good nature through gracious acts and deeds. Lady Luck Venus in the Monkey charitable and divine.

In the Monkey Venus adds a spiritual quality of enlightenment. While Venus rolls through the Monkey go a pilgrimage or just fall in love with life! On July 15th Mars and Uranus are conjunct in the Snake sign and sparks will fly! This alters the status quo tremendously..

Mars | Horse

On July 21st the red planet Mars enters the Horse. As Mars is the War God this can bring a fresh opportunity to mend fences and locate some much needed, middle ground. Boundaries get a reset with a positive effect.

Mars is a fiery, take no prisoners energy. This is a great time to clean the shed or clear the decks. Mars get things started and moves the ball forward. That means we stand a good shot at finding the peace and harmony we seek.

Horses are doctors, lawyers, professors and the politicians in the Zodiac with a gift of gab. Expect to have a conversation on just about anything. It’s a great time to share information and get better informed.

Ox Full Moon | x Two

3:19 AM PDT on Sunday July 21st at 29 degrees we have the 2nd Ox Full Moon of 2024. This is yet another late stage event. The coming of the White Buffalo is a signal and auspicious omen. Full Moons represent a peak and pinnacle that can go-to your head so stay grounded.

Celebrate this very unusual cosmic event with whatever floats your boat. The Ox sign rules over Ancestors so give thanks and gratitude for those who came before us and allow their wisdom to melt into your world.

The Ox is the sacred cow and Shaman of the Zodiac so it’s okay to do some navel gazing. On this full moon spend some time pondering the wonders of the universe.

Monkey | Sun

The Sun enters the Monkey on Monday July 22nd at 0:54 AM PDT past midnight. Monkey this is your time to shine! The Sun gives you a Solar recharge. Happy Birthday to all my Monkey signs! Monkey sits in the Southwest and rules relationships on the grid.

Spend quality time. Our relationships with spouses, co workers and our extended family and friends are the real treasures in life. Monkey is both a trickster and a mindful guru. Monkey teaches us that relationships with others show us who we are.

During Monkeys annual stellar recharge build bridges between tribes. Make connections between hearts and minds. On July 26th Chiron goes retrograde in the Dragon and Mercury enters the Bird sign. Summer is flying by.
