Ox Sun Winter Solstice | Horse Full Moon December 2021

Holy Cow! It’s the shortest day and longest night in the Northern Hemisphere. The Sun moved into the sacred cow, the sign of the Ox crossing the equatorial line marking the Winter Solstice.

To go forward, lets take a step back. Earth had a Full Moon in the sign of the Horse on Saturday, December 18th. A few days later on December 21st the Sun entered the Ox for the Winter Solstice celebration and a return to the light. Let there be light!

Full Horse Moon

This Full Moon in the Horse had a widening expanse giving way for things to express their true nature. The combination of Uranus and the chart Crown in the Snake is a crowded house. With Uranus we can get chaos and the Horse brings long suffering.

This gift Horse also has loads to offer. It will be a wild ride but hang-on, be patient as it sorts itself you might like the results. The Horse is the Peach Blossom sign for the Snake, Ox and Bird so you can expect special favors in this moon cycle.

Retro Venus

The day after the Horse Full Moon peaks Venus turns retrograde in the Sign of the Ox on December 19th. This is a very difficult spot for our lady luck. It’s further complicated by her proximity to Pluto as she turns around and rolls over-on, him, again.

It will unleash hurricane forces and unfathomable events. Nostalgia will trend and lost loves will rekindle romance. Retro Venus transits toward Mercury and the Sun. These inner rim celestial bodies will merge their elliptic fields and it’s going to leave a mark in time.

Venus goes forward January 28th, 2022 and she brings a parade of planets who roll back over Pluto, yet-again. This is no ordinary cosmic rodeo. The Lady is hell-bent for leather and will show us her darker side.

Expect extreme conditions to persist until Venus resumes her forward motion and resets her position. As soon as she gets her bearings back she’ll rendezvous with Mars for a total conjunction and happiness, Ever After on a spectacular Valentine’s Love day, February 14th, 2022. Plan ahead!

Sun Ox | Winter Solstice 2021

When the Sun moves to the Ox the days get longer in the Northern hemisphere and shorter in the southern hemisphere. This yearly transition is often celebrated with seasonal delights and merry making in the Spirit of the Season, so join the fun.

Jupiter Hare

Jupiter the Grand Duke enters the sign of the Hare on December 28th, for a brand new Astro year. This event only happens once every 12 years.

The Hare, also known as the Rabbit and Cat, sometimes the fish, is part of the Compassionate Triad for the Goat and the Pig. These signs will be favored by Jupiter’s visit for a whole year.

Our 1st day of the New Year (in the western world) is a Full Moon. This is a Super Moon that sets up a Blue Moon, at the end of the month. It’s also an auspicious start to a brand new year in the cosmic realm. Planets will change signs and patterns will be reformed. If you are looking for a complete make-over or a radical rebirth, this is your year!

2 Blue Moons

2018 will have (2) sets of Blue Moon: one set in January and another in March. The first full moon is a Super Moon to kick off a brand new year with peak energy! There are (2) sets of eclipses in 2018. The 1st comes on the January 31st Blue Moon and the other set of Lunar and Solar eclipse, pairs, happens in July. These eclipses add extra energy to the standard mix of moon cycles. Expect things in life to arrive or depart suddenly; materialize or disappear. Eclipses seep up time. Monkey, Tiger and the Goat host the eclipse events. That puts talent, vision and peace in the spotlight for cultural adaptations and alterations that reverse fortunes or catapult them forward in a gigantic, way.

In last few years, Saturn transited the Rat, it was all about mind games and neural passageways. Jupiter Grand Duke

In ancient Astro systems, planet Jupiter is known as Tai Sui or the Grand Duke, a jovial giant. This year the Duke will spend 2018 mostly in the Pig sign. This focuses on the tail end of a (12) year cycle. It will magnify life, death, sex and rebirth with every scientific, mystical and occult art, imaginable. While Uranus skirts the edge of the Dragon sign there will be skirmishes and complicity along the borderlines and in the margins. In May when this planet moves to the Serpent sign it ushers in a smoother, gentler period. Less destruction and more production. Mystical snake medicine will cool the fire and brimstone left in Dragon’s wake. The Serpent is wise, yin energy and it’s passive restraints will be more common than harsh, whips and chains. Earth has a Full Moon in the sign of the Horse on December 13th @ 4:05 PM (PDT) which rides high on the Ascendent. This brings matters quickly to a head. Which is good since Mercuty goes retrograde on the 19th of December and returns after the New Year begins, January 8th, 2017.

Equinox Moon & New Year 2017

The Equinox follows suit on December 21st as the Sun enters the OX. We have a New Moon on December 28th and it will be anything-but, new with Mercury still in retro mode. This ensures nostalgia and reruns will ring in the new year. Wishing everyone a happy, bright, holiday season of joy!!

Mercury in Retrograde {2016 to 2017}

2016 ends on a tail spin with another a Mercury retrograde period. It starts retrograde on December 19th and lasts until January 8th, 2017.

Exalted Full Serpent Moon

The Exalted Super Moon (yang moods) reaches fullness as the Sun rises in the western hemisphere on November 14th.

Serpent Super Moon and Part of Fortune

This Exalted, Super, Full Moon has primary themes of privacy and social identity that are up close and personal. Vulnerabilities in the feminine presence share increasing resources and support that are larger than life. An imbalance remains over an extended period (blame the Dog and the Dragon) but an ace will soon be played that reveals a winning proposition, from the ashes of defeat.

Bird Node

A Master key remains unattainable and surprisingly, stable, suspended in animation. Accountability that is Karmic in nature, rules the day. It provides reassurance in this lopsided, climate of forced, celestial patterns. Current transits create a tug of war that holds everyone hostage to a bias that cuts against the grain.
