Chiron Retrograde | Snake
On August 3rd Chiron goes retrograde in the Snake. Health-wise this makes a difference. Does growing old frighten you? Do you fixate on superficial conditions? Planetoid Chiron goes retrograde until January 6, 2027. In that time Chiron spins back to the Dragon.
In the Dragon Chiron’s fear of aging relies on treatments often unproven. In 2027 planetoid Chiron returns to the Snake for a 7 year transit. Chiron is eccentric and electric. In the Snake Chiron seeks to heal results of a quest that has vexed us.
Turns out the fountain of youth is a bright spirit and natural living. Snake sheds a skin to unmask our irrational fears. In the Snake Chiron renews and restores a supple mindset without Dragon’s smoke and mirrors. But we’re not there yet.
Venus Enters the Dog
August 6th Lady Luck Venus enters the Dog to answer a call to adventure. Venus in the Dog pulls us out of the funk and puts us back in the saddle. In the Dog, Venus is glam camping at a well-earned, retreat.
Our Lady of Love and Luxe takes a break from her usual routine to get some fresh air. You might be in your own backyard or floating down a lazy river but deals still get done as we massage our stress and relax our tensions.
Opportunities glow-up as we squeeze the juice out of the last days of summer. Venus will be in the Dog until September 6th for a working holiday. It’s time to soothe our weary souls and shake off our dusky moods as the tide turns on the end of season blues.
Mercury’s Shadow ends | Goat
Also on August 6th Mercury ends his shadow period in the Goat. This opens up new options on the table. When Mercury went retrograde he was at the tail end of the Goat. Quicksilver Mercury now makes haste to enter the Monkey on August 9th.
Mercury in the Money is a mad dash to cross over the Sun and get to the Bird at month’s end on August 25th. Along the way jet-setter Mercury conjuncts Jupiter for an auspicious celestial event.
The winged messenger will make up time and cover territory that’s been taboo or off limits. What’s been been lost, held back or hidden will now see the light-of-day. The August transit for Mercury lifts the veil to pull back the curtain delivers revelations.
Mercury enters Monkey
August 9th Mercury in the Monkey is a carnival ride. Monkey is part of the Ruling Triad and became a king due to his outlandish antics. With Mercury in the Monkey just about everything will be hyper-exaggerated and given to outsized, theatrics.
Mercury in the Monkey leads with heart and likes to entertain us by blowing things up and out of proportion. Watch out for the sparks! While the Monkey is a great talent and creative storyteller make use of this energy to expand your reach and widen your horizon.
The downside is this fun loving Sprite’s visit in the Monkey is short-lived. Monkey joins Jupiter and the Sun for a special, total eclipse Moon this month. Buckle up because Monkey’s a trickster who swings wildly to a jungle vibe.
Mars enters Goat
August 11th War God Mars enters the Goat sign. Fiery Mars is pure yang energy and in the Goat he hits a brick wall or should I say toll booth on a bridge to the other side. Mars takes a fall in the lofty Goat and will be hard-pressed, to set things right.
The party’s over because Mars is too rough and tumble. Goats are passion players who love and let live. Sheepish and kind, Goat is peace maker and groovy kid. But Mars is a War God who uses fire and brimstone to destroy whatever he chooses. How can this be resolved?
Goat takes a position of securing hearth and home. While Goats are courageous they withdraw and become defensive when threatened. This transit has all the hallmarks of a stalemate as tensions percolate. Never butt heads with a Goat and never turn your back on them. Heed this advice and be up front. Don’t try to deceive a Goat as they can be a devil in disguise.
Monkey New Moon | Total Solar Eclipse
Eclipses erase time and speed things up. This Monkey throws a wrench in the works to bog things down. High drama unfolds August 12th when the Moon crosses the Sun. Daylight turns to darkness. As the Moon makes it’s pass Venus conjuncts the Part of Fortune in the Dog, On the Ascendant forces tilt the balance.
There’s no fighting what comes from a higher power. Strong opposition on the other side subdues the heavy hitters. Promises go unfulfilled and demands won’t be met. Dog let’s his guard down. Venus steps in to offer pearls of wisdom with optimistic ideals. How can this New Moon event deliver a win?
Whatever happens don’t rush to judgement or take corrective actions. The 15 day eclipse window is a vortex so stay the course. Don’t change horses mid-stream. Focus on key objectives and novel inventions. Accept an invitation.
On August 27th these patterns reverse trends to go in the opposite direction. What looks good could be bad and what seems bad, could-be for the best. Take a wait see approach until this cosmic dust settles.
Mercury conjunct Jupiter | Monkey
There’s a celestial meeting of the minds in the cosmic skies. Bold expressions and creative directions characterize a dynamic conjunction between Jupiter and Mercury in the Monkey on August 15th. New actors step on stage with style and charisma.
They strike a new tone to deliver an expansive message. Old dogma grows stale and pales by comparison. The old guard passes to the other side. Sands of time move toward a grand vision that promotes opportunity not divisions.

August 22nd Our Sun enters the Bird. For all the Bird signs (Virgo, Phoenix and Roosters) this is your month to spread your wings and shine! Happy Birthday Birds it’s time for a solar recharge. As the Sun makes his annual transit through your sign, Bird’s outlook is sublime.
The Sun reflects our status and self image. So revamp and refresh your look or tune your pitch. Sun in the Bird puts things in order for peace of mind. Bird’s a showy sign with a keen sense of modesty and refinement.

Hare | Full Moon Lunar Eclipse
August 27th is a wild Hare Full Moon Lunar Eclipse. 12 hours prior the Sun conjuncts Mercury in the Bird. The Hare and the Bird sit in opposition on the East, West axis. This eclipse pair between Monkey and Hare, is a mismatch. In many ways it’s a plus, positive for the Bird.
But Cat’s got the canary. This eclipse reverses the Solar eclipse from 15 days earlier. The chart configuration is surreal and uncanny. On August 12th Monkey tossed a wrench into the cosmic wheel. On August 27th these same celestial patterns repeat in a total, reversal of fortunes.
Saturn and Neptune both retrograde in the Dragon sit on the Ascendant. And Dog is hosting Venus and the Part of Fortune conjunct. This time on the descending node. Saturn takes a toll and the Dog gets rolled. It’s some kind of big money and big magic. Maybe both.
Flying Stars | August

In August the eclipses don’t line up. Why is this happening? Typically eclipses come in a pair that mirror each other sitting directly opposite on the compass grid. But the Monkey and the Hare don’t line up. Shifts in the lunar cycles have thrown things out of whack.
During eclipses things speed up to end or begin in ways that are unexpected, sometimes sudden and jarring. It can feel distorted. The general rule is to not act within the span between them. Each is only half of the equation. Wait until all the details are known.

September 14th Dark Lady Lilith enters the Ox. September 17th the retrograde Chiron will re-enter the Dragon until next year. On September 22nd the seasonal wheel turns to the Autumn Equinox when the Sun enters the Dog on September 22nd.
September 25th begins the Mid-Autumn Festival and September 26th light your lanterns to celebrate the Dragon Full Moon, Mooncake fest. On September 27th all hell brakes loose when Mars enters the Monkey. September 30th Mercury enters the Pig.
