Ox is the Shaman of the Zodiac. As we begin this episode for January 2026 it’s only fair to warn you that Ox and Tiger are blowing cosmic events off the chart. It’s a lot bigger than expected. But we are not just beginning a New Year we’re turning a cosmic page.

In 2026 the outer rim Gas Giants move to new positions. Why does this matter? Mostly because it sets the tone for the year and for many years to come. This episode also features the 12 Zodiac Resolutions for each Animal sign.

Goat Super Full Moon | January 2026

Hi I’m China Rose. As we approach the first Super Moon of the New Year we’re still recovering from Dark Lady Lilith racking us over the coals. Lilith made her final sweep in the Pig (life, death, sex and rebirth) to return to the Rat and begin a whole-new spin on the Zodiac Wheel.

It’s a recipe for another month of celestial stew. A Goat Moon can be quite cranky. But this year the Full Moon embraces Jolly Jupiter near the Crown with the Ascendant on zero in the Pig. These aspects elevate us from the doom and gloom and help us to move on.

Goat’s lighthearted whimsy brightens winter’s shadow. On this episode the 12 Zodiac Resolutions offer each sign a personal evolution. As we begin another trek through the stars the Super Moon kicks-off our New Year’s goals with a moment of clarity and focus.

January Blitz

The Super Full Moon has great potential but it comes with a Venus opposition to the Kid. Venus in the Ox is not well aspected at the bottom-of-the barrel. We may need to shake off this funky feeling to find equilibrium. Excess expectations can weigh you down.

Goats are creatives with a tenacious spirit and Dark lady Lilith is back in the Rat for another loop on the elliptic trail. Venus in the Ox is stuck-in-the-muck, as the cows finally come home and data will be revealed.

Monthly Flying Stars change on January 4th with the full moon. And In 2026 all the Gas Giants usher in a generational shift as they move into new stations. This churns the cosmic flow to brake-up the status quo. If change is your wish you’ll be getting it in spades this year.

Venus, Sun and Mars

But hang on there’s plenty more. On January 6th and 7th it’s a full burn as Lady Luck Venus crosses the Sun to conjunct War God Mars with Quicksilver Mercury nipping at their heels. Venus and Mars only meet up every few years and when they do it’s steamy and dreamy.

Venus Mars conjunct sets the stage for a wild ride as Annual Flying Stars shift in early February followed by the Super-Sonic, blaze of glory! The Fire Horse arrives on the Chinese Lunar New Year. A Fire Horse has double Yang energy that’s powerful, fast and spirited!

Resolution Road

There’s a lot happening in the January’s cosmic calendar. Way-more than usual. February will be full speed as well but tapers off when Mercury goes retrograde at the end of the month. Both Ox and Tiger are deep dives so get ready. We discuss multiple conjunctions and crossings.

One thing to keep in mind. Conjunctions are effective in and around the timeline for several days. Once they peak-out they begin to fade. Crossings also have a few days of activity that can leave marks, residue or make a lasting impression. Use this energy wisely.

Rat | Sagittarius

Ox | Capricorn

On January 6th Venus in the Ox pushes past the Sun. This friction can bruise egos. Like porcelain teacups ego’s are fragile and bulls in China shops break things. In Feng Shui when crockery breaks it means new money is coming. So don’t sweat-it, let it go.

January 7th, Lady Luck Venus and War God Mars are Yin and Yang in the Ox. This love fest sets the tone for the year as a Venus and Mars conjunct is a long time coming and Ox is known for it’s enduring legacy.

On January 17th, the Sun (self-image) crosses Mars (pure yang energy) in the Ox Simultaneously the Node (key) and Part of Fortune (values) conjunct in the Hare. This turns the tables and sets a record straight. 

On the same day after the Sun crosses Mars in the Ox early in the AM. Later that night Mercury will conjunct War God, Mars. Quicksilver Mercury delivers an Important message that begins trials and tribulations. Play your cards close. Wait to respond until the cosmic dust settles. 

At noon on January 18th the New Ox Sun and Moon has eccentric artifacts. This dynamic duo conjuncts with Mercury for news that’s riveting. Ox New Moon lasts one day before the Sun and Moon move to the Tiger. Make haste to plant seeds or start your projects without delay.

Tiger | Aquarius

On January 17th, Lady Luck Venus enters the Tiger. When Lady Luck rides the Tiger things get done with greater ease. The Sun enters the Tiger January 19th. Happy Birthday Tiger! Sun is in Tiger will recharge your internal battery and increase your sphere of influence. It’s a good time to make life altering change. Go Tiger! Cerebrate you. 

Also on January 19th Lady Luck Venus conjuncts planetoid Pluto in the Tiger. Pluto is now in the Tiger for the next 18 years. Venus and Pluto will merge forces to do something lasting and remarkable. But use caution and watch your step. Pluto plays for keeps.   

Messenger Mercury conjunct the Sun while entering the Tiger on January 20. This power-play can topple the status quo. Bold moves comes with a lot of fanfare and impart a feel-good effect. Tiger can bask in the glory.

Mercury conjuncts Pluto in the Tiger January 21st. Most of last year Pluto was left to his own devices. Suddenly a pack of celestial bodies land on his doorstep. Quicksilver Mercury and pebble-in=the-shoe, Pluto create bright, chemical reaction. Inventions, ideas, breakthroughs, all groovy. But whatever you’re doing don’t skimp on safety. 

Late to the party but finally Mars enters the Tiger January 22nd. Mars is pure, yang, masculine energy but cannot catch the vibrant celestial parade that has now gotten out ahead of him. What does this tell us about the days to come? 

The Sun (sense of self) crosses Pluto January 23rd. Tiger’s are straight forward leaders and team players. This event imparts a deeper meaning and its revelations can be alarming.

Mars pure energy conjuncts planetoid Pluto January 27 producing a dark grind that is energized to do better. Mars can act as an elixir infusing Pluto’s cold, dark space with new-life and zest. Be ye transformed.

Mercury messenger conjuncts Lady Luck Venus in the Tiger January 29th. This is a cultural convention bringing youthful Spirits and wise Sages into the big tent to share ideas and exchange concepts. This cosmic event is fruitful and abundant. 

Tiger’s Resolution is to not chase your tail. Tiger can get what he wants when he lets others do things for his benefit. Regal Tiger often try’s to do it all himself. Tiger’s such an adept at all he does, he hardly notices the drag on his productivity. In 2026 delegate to propagate big ideas.

Hare | Pisces

The Hare In January has the unlucky Danger 7 Star. This is a difficult energy to work with. Take lots of breaks. Avoid renovations in the East until next month. The 7 Star creates drama and legal issues you don’t need or want. Use a wisdom sword in your East decor to cure this star.

For the last decade we’ve had cobwebs in our heads about what’s real, what’s true, and how to sort the wheat from the shaft. Blame Neptune spinning illusions in the fanciful Hare. Now that Neptune is moving on the fog will clear. False impressions that gild the lily are not in vogue.

What goes around come a round. As Lord Neptune moves to the Dragon, Taskmaster Saturn leaves the Hare. In astro lore as Saturn departs he leaves a gift by the door. This can come as a life-lesson, learned or an unexpected benefit, earned. Look for closure soon.

Hare’s Resolution is a recipe for success. Yes, use a recipe. Hare can be inclined to eyeball and best-guess measurements. But this year follow a pattern that lets you mix and add while setting other things aside, to sift and sort. Then merge the results and bake until set.

Dragon | Aries

At times you’ve had to surrender to this force of nature. Soon the Uranus transit will end. But for now this giant has got you in a bind.

You don’t have to burn bridges to release the past just cross over to your future and don’t look back. Uranus is retrograde until January 4th but in April the crazy giant moves to the Horse for the next 8 years. Snakes will be free to go where the buffalo roam in myth and magic.

Snake’s Resolution is to tread lightly. With an abundance of hype and excess it stands to reason piling onto the band wagon will only break the camels back. To elevate lofty goals step lightly. Make good impressions not deep cuts. Let nature take its course and follow the beat.

Horse | Gemini

Planets for the Goat herd have Jovial Jupiter until midsummer. If you use a Dragon Tortoise or Pi Xao to appease the Grand Duke be sure it sits Northeast facing Southwest. The North-South axis for the lunar year is way-off because Grand Duke Jupiter is the divining line.

There are no planets for Monkey in January. Monkey is riding the wheel and biding time but needs to get a grip since he is hosting the full moon on February 1st.
