Are you a Tiger? Do you love Tigers? January was almost to much to bear. The cosmic stampede in the Ox has left a lot to be desired. But February begins with the Sun in the Tiger. And Tiger is a breath of fresh air that alters the course to pull us out of a rut.
Regal Tiger is King in the Zodiac. Big Cats, fat cats and wild cats, Tiger is the pinnacle on the Zodiac sphere. Team Tiger now hosts planetoid Pluto away from the glitterati that Tiger often commands. For more than a decade to come Pluto will be a rock in a hard place in Tiger’s way.
Most of the time Pluto seems unforgiving and difficult to manage. This is true and yet the revelations of this distant, cold, dark, icy, realm presents a large heart-shaped feature called Sputnik Planitia. Through it all Pluto gives us the power in hard times to find our hearts.
Annual Flying Star | 2026
Annual Flying Stars (fields of energy) send the lucky Money, Love and Miracle 1 Star to the Heart center palace in 2026. The Fire element of the Horse is good for the heart but comes with extremes. The One Star can help to reduce the excess and harmonize the elements.
The current trend to throw-out-the-babe-with-the-bath-water has not proven productive. What does that even mean? For the last 2 years we have been living in the Fire 9 Mountain cycle. It burns hot and runs fast. A quest for change at-all-costs, becomes daunting and destructive.
The Miracle 1 Star in the Heart Center will tame the fire to provide support. The era of Industry gave rise to the Age of the Machine. Yet humans do not move at a mechanized pace. This year we slow the runaway nature of the 9 Star to make it’s presence useful.
Monthly Flying Stars | 2026
On February 4th the Annual Flying Stars change as well as the Monthly Flying Stars. The Flying Star method of divination and its Art of Placement is ancient by many thousands of years. It built dynasties that have stood the test of time to be a lasting and useful legacy for humanity.
But it’s complexity is confusing. One way to understand this process is to know that the cycles of harmony and conflict resolve around the 5 Earthly elements. These Elements are the change-makers. They are utilized for greatest benefits in a layered hierarchy that governs it.
The Universal positions are the foundation. The 20 year Mountain Star is the direction it faces. Annual Stars provide structure for tone and texture on the over arching framework and Annual Stars give us the ingredients to work with. The Monthly Stars are the tools we use to shape it.
Tiger Ring of Fire | Lunar Eclipse
February 17th mighty Tiger will host a Ring of Fire, Total Solar eclipse at 4:03 AM, Pacific Time. What can we expect from this intense cosmic expression? It’s a cross-over moment. A double Part of Fortune straddles the Ascendant. Values and money will find a new equilibrium.
And there is a colossal pile-up of magical energy. A solid pack of 8 planets and aspects are compacted rolling through Tiger, Hare and into Dragon’s realm. Like a cork in a bottle the front load of this is cosmic traffic is Saturn and Neptune sitting at Zero leading into Dragon’s cave.
Behind Dragon’s front line is Mercury. But before Mercury can blast past the blockage he spins backward into retrograde motion. This full throttle reversal will then roll-over every cosmic body he just zoomed past. Tiger ROF opens a portal akin to an escape hatch into new horizons.
Fire Horse | Lunar New Year
Following the Tiger Ring of Fire eclipse Venus in the Hare will cross the Node and the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Red Fire Horse begins. What is a Red Fire Horse? The Red Fire Horse is a Yang sign with a Yang element of Fire signified by its Red color. Horses are supernatural.
The Red Fire horse is a Peach Blossom sign for Snake, Ox and Bird (the Phoenix, Rooster) these signs are highly favored this year. Horse is in the Power Triad with Tiger and Dog. And Horse’s Super Buddy and mate is the Goat sign. A Fire Horse is famous for being famous.
This year celebrity for the sake of celebrity is not enough. It’s become hallow and obsolete. Substance is required. What was once popular falls out of Vogue and new trends are quick to evolve. On the Feng Shui compass Horse sits South for fame and promotion. It’s a strong year for PR, the legal professions and the clothes horse rides side saddle in the fashion industry.

A Fire Horse happens once every 60 years in the big cycle of the Chinese Zodiac based on the 5 Elements: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth with the Heavenly Stem: Yin or Yang. Is you Sun sign in Gemini? Then you are born in the month of the Horse. Were you born in 1966?
1966 is the last year the Red Fire Horse was born on Earth. This year the new fire colts born will be leggy and looking for adventure. Horse is a beloved sign but things can get out of hand quickly in the Fire Horse year so be keen on what’s truly important and hold the line.
By nature Horses are skittish, popular and talented. They respect those who respect them. They often run in a pack. At times Horses can be long suffering and will chomp at the bit if forced to wait or feel held back. The Fire Horse has an insatiable appetite so keep the feed bag nearby.
Sun in Hare
Mercury will enter the Hare the 6th of February. Lady Luck Venus enters the Hare on the11th. Our Lady of Good Fortunes is exalted in the Hare. Mercury and Venus cross the Node promoting positively wonderful results. Bunny business is hopping and popping in February.
On February 18th the Sun enters the Hare and then crosses the Node. It’s all good. After that things start to go sideways when Mercury goes retrograde. In a pivotal cosmic event Mercury will cross back over Venus in reverse mode. This is bad news bears as luxury takes a hit.
Consequences are harsh. But caution is advised because Mercury in retro motion will return forward revealing things we don’t know yet. Try not to sign important documents, feel regrets or rekindle an old romance as this plays out in the coming weeks. Stay poised and take care.
Mercury Retrograde | February 2026
The first Mercury Retrograde event begins in the Hare on February 26th and lasts until March 20th. Mercury in the Hare is a rough patch on our soft souls. Messenger Mercury is a Demi God who represents youth with his mercurial quicksilver.
When Mercury is retrograde its time to redo, refresh and reset. But avoid starting anything new-new and take extra time for travel or plans that go askew. Winged Mercury affects travel, commerce and the courts. We may expect a certain outcome that turns in another direction.
When the unexpected steals your thunder the best thing you can do is keep the door open to another chance. Don’t finalize or agonize. The Mercury events are always coming and going. Just don’t second guess or bet the farm. Clean out your closet and take a rain check.

Dragon | Aries
What can Dragon expect in a Horse year? The Dragon Horse combination is a rare and benevolent creature known as the Chi Lin or Kir Lin. Not all Dragon’s evolve to express this mystical power. February 17th begins the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse. It’s a double Fire (element) and double Yang year. Home in the South on the compass the Fire element conflicts with Water. The Water element puts Fire out. Double yang is pure masculine energy which can be dangerous and harsh. But not without its Achilles heel.
Horse can be long suffering. Do not play into their woes and whiny, whims. On the upside Horse is a friend who socializes with ease and public speaker who commands an audience. Ponies are fun and alluring with a naturally magnetic charm. Their claim to fame won the West on the Pony express. Horses have been making history in all parts of the world since civilization began.
What can Horses expect in a Horse year? Horses come in a range of flavors. Both rustic and refined. Their rustic tastes are refined and their refinement is rustic. Yes, my Zodiac friends Horses are a contradiction. But it’s the kind of contradiction that builds suspense and surprise.
Digging in the dirt might yield a summer bouquet of beauty and bounty or a Pulitzer prize for a riveting article. You never know what you’ll get when Horses take the lead which makes it all-that more wonderful and exciting.
In high risk environments use extreme caution in these volatile times. The Yellow Earth Horse is the only Horse known for its exceptional fidelity and loyalty. All other males are studs in the barnyard. The Mare’s rise to glory is renown for being gentle and kind.

In 2026 Goat has the Annual Danger 7 Star which pretty much rules out any big renovations or remodeling. In February the Goat has the Monthly Accident 5 Star. This is a tough-luck configuration. What can Birds expect in a Horse year? Bird and Horse are another lucky special combination. Known as the Flying Horse of Gansu this Bird Horse is part of a collection found in an opulent Han Dynasty tomb.
This unique celestial Horse and Bird sculpture depicts a rare horse bred outrunning a swift bird. It is a mark of status and skill. A masterpiece of the Silk Road many thousands of years ago that speaks of romance, harmony and tradition of its era.
