Snake Effect | 2025

The Wood Snake year started on January 29th. This coming Snake year will be bold and beautiful. Snakes are transformers who alter our landscapes.

What’s a Blue Wood Snake? Wood is Yin energy as one of the 5 elements in Feng Shui. The five elements: Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth correspond to our 5 sensory perceptions and make up the cycles of harmony and conflict based on their element.

Every sixty years a new den of Wood Snakes are born. Not all Snakes are a born in a Wood year making each clutch of Snake unique based on their birth element. The last group of Wood Snakes were born in 1965. If you were born in 1965 you’ll turn 60 this year.

In 2025 the Wood year grows quickly in new directions. Wood represents sound and Xun, the wind. On the compass it’s the direction of East that governs Health and the family tree. Wood is also a fighting Star that’s highly expressive.

Snake is a captivating charmer prominent in ancient origin stories. Wood Snakes have potent Yin energy that can create log jams but also brake through concrete. On the down side a Wood Snake can be back-biting and a side-winder. On the plus side Snake will surprise and delight you.

Never under estimate the power of the Snake and watch what you step on!

On this episode of Lucky Stars we’ll review the cosmic motion in February 2025. Together we’ll navigate the Sun and Moon cycles along with how to get lucky for all the Zodiac Animal signs.

February is a bruising month of bumps and grinds in the celestial stew that keeps boiling over. But this all changes again, next month so stay tuned for a full preview of what’s coming in March at the end of this podcast.

Tiger | Speed

As February begins the Sun is full speed in the Tiger with a New Moon. On the 1st we have a triple conjunction with lady luck Venus, Lord Neptune and the Node. Jupiter goes direct in the Horse on the 4th and immediately carves a path forward going nowhere.

How long will this quicksand last? By the Full Moon on the 12th the Node has crossed Neptune and Venus will be in the Dragon’s lair. With Mars now the lone retrograde planet it’s still a rocky road up ahead on the elliptic path.

Valentine’s day on the 14th gives us a pause with Mercury at Zero suspended from action. And a forward Jupiter flips positions before forging ahead on the 18th when the Sun enters the Hare. The Hare is a compassionate Zodiac animal focused on community building and family.

Annual Flying Stars | 2025

The Annual Flying Stars for the Wood Snake Year begin February 4th. At the same time the Monthly Flying Stars change. These two charts overlap with a doubling of the Lucky Star patterns. In 2025 Annual Flying Stars have unlucky illness 2 Star fly to the Heart center palace.

This can be hard on relationships and weaken our reserves. As your personal star guide I recommend everyone use a Wo Lu charm as a cure to ward off the negative Sha Chi energy and brighten prospects.

And for the Fire Mountain cycle lasting another 19 years use the Windhorse Amulet if you don’t already have one. The Illness 2 Star is weak which sounds good but weakness is where we find our Achilles heel. So shore up your health with restful and restorative practices. Avoid burnout.

February | Flying Stars – 2025

February’s Monthly Flying Stars double down with the Annual Stars so use the Life Force charm for added protection and to increase the great benefits of the Lucky Ho Tu combinations that are running from North to South and East to West across the compass grid.

Our Monkey Full Moon reaches it’s peak Wednesday, February 12th at 5:54 AM PT. This tidal shift happens below the surface. On the chart everything except the Moon is below the Ascendant creating contradictions. Why? Normally a Full Moon illuminates but this is a shroud.

As the Full Moon peaks there are key positions that shift behind the scenes. Mercury passes over the Sun and the Node crosses over Neptune. And everything but retro Mars is going direct. Monkey rules talent and in the Southwest governs relationships like friends and family.

This Monkey Moon is a 30 day-point to the first of two Blood Moon | Total Lunar eclipses coming this year. A 30 day-point to an eclipse gives us clues to what’s up ahead so pay attention to anything out of the ordinary as precursor of what to expect.

Sun | Hare

Just past midnight on Tuesday, February 18th at 12:16 AM PT the Sun enters the Hare sign. Happy Birthday to all my lucky bunnies, cats and rabbits born in the Hare (Pisces) month. The Sun in the Hare brings a quieter, gentler time even as things speed up in our daily lives.

Hare is the hospitality sign and magic is Hare’s super power. Goats and Pigs are in Hare’s Compassion Triad and Dog is Hare’s Super Buddy. And if that’s not lucky enough the Green Rabbit is the Peach Blossom sign for Dogs, Horses and Tigers.

This is why Hares are so darn good at networking and finding the bright side. If you are a Hare the Sun brings a Solar return to recharge your cosmic battery. This will gift you a month of good fortunes and brighten dark days to chase away winter shadows with Spring up ahead.

Mars | Direct

Mars finally goes direct in the Goat at 6:00 PM PT on February 23rd. After Mars goes forward all the planets in our sphere will be in forward motion until March 1st when Venus goes retrograde. And March 14th Mercury goes retrograde for the first time this year.

Now that Mars is going forward it alters the doom and gloom landscape quite a lot. This recent retrograde pattern has been a tough row to hoe in the galactic patterns. With forward progression of the Yang Mars energy we can finally get a foothold to scale new heights.

Mars returning back will cover ground that has been lost since early December in 2024. Think of it as a restoration period that can bring back what you thought was lost and reinstate what was thought long gone. Use this time to reposition your goal lines.

Hare | New Moon Sun

Thursday, February 27th we have a New Moon Sun at 4:46 PM PT. Get ready for some big magic. The New Moon Sun combo merges forces for a rebirth and resurrection. But like all New Moon’s it might start small and takes a bit of little time to fully reveal itself.

This New Moon is chock full of fresh possibilities and friendly aspects with a pearl strand of benefits: New Moon Sun, Saturn, Mercury, Node and Neptune all from a bond. This powerful alignment expresses new dynamic fields of opportunity through synchronicity and serendipity.

And when things do show up they take off lickety-split to grow overnight. It’s a fairy tale of delights with an enchanted harp and a golden goose. This gives Hare signs and everyone a chance to bridge the divide. This New Moon energy is best used to start something anew.

Sun Moon & Lucky Stars

Following the New Moon stellar alignments on the last day this month February 28th we have an early warning alert for another 30 day-point. This one is for the double-horned Dragon Partial Lunar eclipse coming in March.

Happy New Year lucky listeners! 2024 ended with a New Moon and Sun in the Ox Capricorn signs. The cow moon is barely visible as the new year begins. The much darkness can feel a bit dreary. You may wonder: how to get in the flow and where did my good fortune go?

What star patterns lead to green-grass scenario’s? Anytime the Ox is involved: what you resist will persist. So relax your ego as doors of opportunity swing open. This month is forged with Yin and Yang energy that comes outta the shoot like a bull ride. It’s highly unpredictable.

To tame these forces pre plan and test-run before taking action. Get a strategy. Use this time to place a corner stone or lay a foundation. To set the stage for success: in this episode I’ll share auspicious ideas to get you off on the right hoof for January. Follow your lucky stars!

Mercury Shadow | Ends

On January 2nd Chiron returns from retrograde in the Dragon and Mercury ends its Shadow period in the Rat. How will this affect you? If you are a Rat or Sagittarius something small could reveal something of great significance. Pay attention to the tiny details.

Rats are master at the minutia and make mountains out of mole hills or treasures out of incremental growth. So in general people will be poised to inventory supplies and review costs. Get things done and dusted. Rat sits in the North on the compass as career pathways open.

Put things to bed as the old adage says. Sort out remains of the previous year and wrap up projects to make way for new goals. Free yourself. Release the excess of whatever is undone that weighs on the mind to take up space. Let the metaphorical river flow by removing clutter.

Flying Stars | January 2025

The Monthly Flying Stars change on January 5th. This month the Fighting Star 3 flies to the center palace. This is a weak position for matters of the heart. Third party interference can be a problematic. Nip things in the bud before they get out of whack. Don’t just let things go.

Instead show support for the things you love by stepping back and standing down. Groom yourself to be the best mate and resist being judgemental. Earth energy can get depleted so stay grounded with your focus and carry a pocket stone like jasper, agate or rose quartz.

The Ming Tang positively influences scholarships, business and is a boon for assets. The Ox, Tiger and Rat signs will benefit most. Dogs and Pigs get a bonus with the Lucky Sum of Ten. Activate this advantage by making sure entries and doorways are not blocked or obstructed.

Goat | Full Moon

On Monday January 13th at 2:27 PM PST we have Full Moon in the Goat sign. Goats and Cancer signs will get a full moon to bring their dreams, goals and wishes to fulfillment. But everyone will be feeling the Goat’s tug to reach new heights and go all-out on ambition.

Aspects look favorable for Goats as the stars align on the first full moon of the year. In the chart forecast stardust rains down on the fancy footed sheep. Goats have lofty career luck to put them in the top tier. As a constellation Cancer can be crabby but Goats are social climbers.

The lovable Goat sign may stumble at times but they get their winning ways with a tenacious spirit, a quirky soul and by staying wild at heart. A Goat full moon means we might bite off more than we can chew. Bring any outrageous ideas down-to-earth to avoid getting fleeced.

Tiger | Sun

On Sunday January 19th at 12:06 PM PT the Sun enters the Tiger sign with the Martin Luther King holiday the following day. Happy Birthday to all my Tiger’s out there. This is your time to shine! The Tiger and Aquarius born will get a full solar recharge while the Sun transits their sign!

Tiger this the best time for a full reset and to make life altering change. The Solar spot conjuncts planetoid Pluto with the Part of Fortune as the Sun enters into your sign. The Sun rules over our sense of self and defines our status. Tigers make fierce allies.

This year the stars align to deliver a full package with an array of benefits. What do Tiger’s need to do to prepare for this good fortune? The Ascendant sits in the Snake with Uranus the planet of chaos. So expect the unexpected to set off a chain reaction then jump through the hoop.

Conjunction | Junction

Venus will conjunct Saturn in the Hare on the 15th of January giving Bunnies a boost. Planet Mercury will conjunct Pluto in the Tiger around the 28th adding some flavor to the New Moon brew on the 29th. Heavy hitter Jupiter is still retrograde in the Horse pulling back on the reigns.

Mars is going backwards in the Goat and Uranus is retrograde in the Snake. This is a big log jam in the wider scope of things. Little things may pass through but the larger objectives may get stalled. The Sun rolls over Pluto on his way to the Tiger on the 19th.

Mercury will roll over Pluto as he begins a 19 year tour of the Tiger. This outlier event fuels more revolutionary ideals. If you’d like to score a hit keep your eye on the ball as January’s annual motion features more than a few unique twists and turns in the cosmic swirl.

Tiger | New Moon Sun

On Wednesday January 29th at 4:37 AM PT we have a New Moon Sun in the Tiger sign. This New Moon has innovative fresh ideas written all over it. Planetoid Pluto and Planet Mercury will conjoin the Sun and Moon team for soul searching transit. It’s time to act on your inspirations.

Most of what happens in this lunar cycle will be behind the scenes. We only see the tip of the iceberg. There’s a cosmic stew simmering below the surface of this celestial event. With Mars, Jupiter and Uranus retrograde it’s a stalemate for any outsized expectations. Scale back a bit.

Like all new moons we don’t get tomatoes when we plant potatoes. Be mindful what you put in your field of dreams. Tiger is part of the Power Triad with Dog and Horse and is secret buddies with the Pig. Mighty Tiger is a guardian so use his mojo for the greater good.

Blue Wood Snake | 2025

The Chinese New Year begins for the Blue Wood Snake on January 29th. Snakes born in 1965 turn 60 this year and a new crop of baby Blue Snakes will be born into the world. Snakes are part of the Mystic Triad favoring Ox and Bird signs. Snake’s super buddy is the Monkey.

A Blue Wood Snake is beautiful and alluring but as a Yin sign they are also demure and reserved which is a bit of a contradiction. Blue wood energy is a growth element and this year is a good time to put down roots. Yin Wood energy promotes the feminine edge.

In the greater scheme of things grass brakes concrete. It may seem like some of our passions for green energy have gone by the wayside but in the course of this year things will sprout up through the cracks so get ready for a big evolutionary expansion in cultural trends.

Uranus Snake | Direct

As we end the first month of the year planet Uranus goes direct in the Snake sign at 23 degrees. While Uranus has been rolling in the clover it has torn up the Serpentine path. But don’t despair something new will emerge to replace the worn out bits.

Snakes entire lives are being transformed by the Uranus transit which started back in 2018 and won’t end until 2026. Uranus will peel and resurface everything for a full transition. Snakes are adept at shedding a skin but even-so as it happens it can feel yucky.

But hang in there Snake friends because when this is all said and done your total transformation will be amazing! Projected outcomes are purely, positive. Embrace this deconstruction phase as a means to discover a higher mind and better sense of self.
